Rescue Systems 1
Rescue Systems 1 is a 40-hour CA State Fire Marshal certified course taught in a five-day format. Key topics include: Team organization, rescue, and environmental considerations, use of ropes, knots, rigging and pulley systems, descending, rappelling, and belaying tools and techniques, subsurface rescue techniques, use of cribbing, wedges, cutting and prying tools, use of fire service ladders in specialized rescue situations, and day and night simulated rescue exercises.
NCRT can travel to your State Certified Site to deliver Rescue Systems as needed.
Student Requirements: Students are required to bring the following equipment to class every day.

Fire department helmet or rescue helmet

Rope rescue or fire department gloves

Long pants or coveralls – NO SHORTS

Steel toed and shanked safety boots

Long sleeve shirts ONLY

Instructors will require a copy of your LARRO and Firefighter 1 certification at the beginning of class.
Prerequisite: Low Angle Rope Rescue Operations (LARRO)
