
Confined Space Rescue Technician
Confined Space Rescue Technician is a 40-hour CA State Fire Marshal certified course taught in a five-day format. This course is an intensive hands-on training program that will prepare you to respond to confined space emergencies. This course of instruction prepares the student in identifying confined spaces and permit-required confined spaces, the hazards associated with permit-required confined spaces, target industries and hazards, state and federal regulations, components of a rescue operation and the roles and responsibilities of the rescue team.
NCRT can travel to your State Certified Site to deliver Confined Space Rescue classes as needed.
Student Requirements:
Students are required to bring the following equipment to class every day.

Fire department helmet or rescue helmet

Rope rescue or fire department gloves

Long pants or coveralls – NO SHORTS

Steel toed and shanked safety boots
-
Long sleeve shirts ONLY

SCBA, bottle, mask (please advise NCRT if you are not able to secure the use of this equipment from your department and accommodations will be made

Elbow/knee pads
Prerequisites: Rope Rescue Awareness/Operations (RRAO) or LARRO & RS1; Confined Space Awareness; HazMat FRO
CMC Confined Space Rescue Technician manual will be provided on the 1st day of class.
